Kidz Community is a place where kids have fun while learning how to honor and worship God.

Our goal is that it would be the best hour in every kid's week! 

It’s hard not to start smiling when you enter the hallway leading to Blue Ridge Community Church’s Kidz Community area. The first thing to catch your eye is a real salt-water aquarium with several multi-colored tropical fish and sea creatures. The walls in this section of Blue Ridge are painted and decorated to look like a town. It’s designed to be a place where kids really enjoy church, and it’s our goal to make it the best hour of their week.

As you begin your stroll, you first enter the park where we have rooms designed especially for infants and toddlers. The people serving in these rooms love to invest in kids of this age, creating a safe and nurturing environment that will foster smiles and giggles from your children.

A right turn at the intersection will take you past a railroad station, a kid’s bookstore, a pet shop, a bakery and even an aquarium with huge turtles. This area has rooms for 2-year-olds, 3-year-olds and preschool (ages 4 and 5) children. These kids have fun times learning about God. The fun is created through the use of skits, music, crafts, and hands-on activities.

The adults in these rooms love the children and love serving them so much that they volunteer every week. This means that your children will have the same small group leader each week. They like to see your children regularly so they can build real relationships with them and help them make real friendships with other children at church.

At this end of the town, you will also see a surfboard shop and a real boardwalk with dolphins jumping up to greet you. These mark the entrance to our Kindergarten and 1st grade room. As you enter this room, you will meet a group of people who love to spend time each week getting to know your K-1st grade kids. On the opposite side of town is a skateboard shop, an ice cream parlor and an arcade. This part of town is where you will find a fun and exciting group of 2nd – 5th grade kids hanging out, playing games, doing crafts and making friends with small group leaders and other kids.

Of course, what is a Kidz Community ‘town’ without a kids’ theatre? Yes, we have a bigger-than-life KidStuf Theatre. This is the place where KidStuf happens. Before small-group time, all the Kindergarten through 5th grade kids gather here for a 45-minute full production which includes music, dance, funny skits from our clubhouse characters, media, and interactive storytelling. Your kids can’t help but have fun while learning how to honor and worship God and live out His principles in their everyday lives.
